The term "Bio-psychodynamics" in it's current and hyphenated form was first used by independent researcher and theorist, J. Richard Crant in 2009 to describe his theory of the association or connection of biological functions and the psychological influences on them. The term bio-psycho-dynamics is derived from three words, the Greek word βίος, bios, "life", psyche (ψυχή, psukhē, meaning "breath", "spirit", or "soul", and dynamics Greek δυναμικός - dynamikos "powerful", from δύναμις - dynamis "power". Used in combination could mean the "power of understanding the mind-body and soul". Theory of Bio-psychodynamics C=ea2 in many ways could be described as a grand theory and in some respect with emphasis on finding newer answers to the "mind-body problem"[1].

Psychodynamics as the theory and systematic study of the psychological forces that underlie human behavior, especially the dynamic relations between conscious motivation and unconscious motivation [2]
